*Permethrin is used as a personal protection agent against insects. It is contained in repellents and protective clothing (impregnated with repellent). Effectively protects against the penetration of ticks into the skin of humans thereby reducing the risk of infection with Lyme disease or contracting tick-borne encephalitis.
